Luka, Greenie and I managed to sneak in some cool sailing this afternoon at the new and improved (?), totally sand-free, yep - TOTALLY sand-free Bellbuoy 'Beach'.

Ignoring a recent knee injury, Luka is back with a vengeance, linking 3-4 bottom turn / off-the-lips in each sequence, in waves that were at first 'steep', to say the least. There was some suggestion of an (almost) backside 360...no witnesses though and we all know what THAT means - IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!

Greenie, despite an ongoing knee injury also pulled the biggest high-altitude forward of the day, but made a couple of poor decisions to turn right at the top of decent instead of left...some 'backies' went begging. He also made the decision to 'turn right' instead of wearing my board on his face, which I thought was a pretty soft to be honest...

And completely ignoring my utter lack of knee injuries, and as a result of getting kind of peeved with only one sail-away back-loop, I put some push-loop theories to the test, THEORIES mind you, and although not sailing away, I am feel like I am ready to hit them hard next time, maybe even as hard as I hit my face on the head of the boom on one of them...maybe.

Both the other northern wave sailers had some lame excuse - but who cares what it was? It was LAME!

This be our LAME excuse. Snowed in at Cradle in half a metre of the fluffiest driest powder snow.
