Gill and I sailed Bell Buoy this morning, the wind was a little up and down and the swell was inconsistent but. the sun was out and it felt quite summery. Later on I spoke to Gary ( who is based on the west coast) he had just sailed Greens (Marrawah) in extreme 15 to 35 knot conditions. The swell over there is building so tomorrow could be good if the southerly fires up. It sounds like he has some time available to sail so if your thinking of a trip over there for some wavesailing give him a call or send me a PM and I will put you in contact.

Nice pics, I had a sail this morning at East beach from 730 'till 1030. Nice conditions, decent waves, wind bit gusty, but still OK.

Sweet...though we had it pretty well covered yesterday with Luka doing the 7.30 to 10.30 shift, Gill and I sailed the 10.30 till 12.30 and G Clarke 12.30 till night fall so hardly any waves went unpunished but as the days get longer the scheduling gets more difficult (and people think that boat people reaching our fair shores are the real menace...if only they knew!!!)

So Clarky was stuffing up his backies, Greenie was stuffing up his forwards and you were pulling off perfect push loops............. Excellent

You'd think Clarky would have nailed them by now with all the coaching I've given him he just won't listen he's quite irritating at times

You would think that Clarky would have nailed Houston by now, with all the 'coaching' he's been giving him. He just won't shut up, he's quite annoying at times.
Now THAT is an understatement!!!!

A good coach will never give up even when the kid spits the dummy.............. I'm known for my persistence so no matter what hurtful words come out of Clarkys mouth I'll keep coaching till he pulls it off.

A hot weekend on the water - first of all Greenie Going Forward - no I am not kidding!

Who would have thought that doing what everyone suggests you do might actually work? Greenie has been convinced to date that when everyone has been saying 'commit and hang on', they have been saying it specifically to watch him crash and burn (okay, there was some hope there).

The first day of getting some way around can be viewed here:

I thought that I also had a reasonable day last Sunday (before tearing the Blade) and I think I need your feedback coach - what am I doing wrong?

I think that the first one (not a sail-away) is technically the best of the two by far, but I landed into the front of the next wave, and the board got turned under my feet.

The second one is complete, but a bit ugly. Please give me some assistance Coach, do your worst!

I swear I will try harder coach - I SWEAR!!!!!!

Its a little strange to see greenie going forward instead of barrelling I am pretty sure the barrel is supposed to be the harder move and Greenie just makes them look easy. The backies look great on the go pro.....the second one gets my vote as the better one.

Tuesday and Wednesday are looking OK ....any takers?

Will we see "the Coach" up north ?

My head and back are still saw from the forwards!! But worth it.

Believe it or not, once you get through the initial catapult, just hang on and the forward is not that bad. I have had plenty more stacks over rotating sideways barrels!! I hate to say it but Geoff 'Jem Hall' Clark is a good front loop teacher!! Are you listening Ant!!

Should be up for a sail tomorrow AM

Some time you arrive at the beach and the wind is howling and there are waves and all that good stuff and early-ish this morning that's what Greenie Geoff and Luka got at Bell Buoy Beach. By the time I got there at 11 am the wind was easing and the swell dropping so I rigged a sail took a few photos and thought to myself .....some folks are working on this sunny fine day ......not at the beach having fun....

I've been waiting 20 years for the barrel to come back in!! It's funny, nobody else really does them up here! Yeah I agree Damo, it's the old "New age" aerial! But forwards are pretty insane too!!! Stone wash jeans might just come back in vogue too....mmmmm, perhaps not...
