Hello guys there was a lot of damage done around Lauderdale with the storm yesterday.Waterfront homes at balook street had waves in there backyards. There are big gum trees floating on the Lauderdale beach at the moment.Must say not very good for the Lauderdale beach.
Check out the vid of the carpark at the end of the canal. Thanks to 'thephlip' for supplying that one.
Couple more pics from Sandpits yesterday
To put it in perspective these were well over mast high and the explosion in the last pic would have been double mast.
I tried to photo shop me into the hole gave up due to my poor IT skills
Great shots. The water is still surging over the road tonight at Lauderdale.
I think there could be a lot of waterfront houses 4 sale soon! , especially balook st. Just imagine if we had a bigger tide!
Cheers
Anthony hope your lettuces are all ok.
Nice pictures is winter normally this bad??
Wish you had a sail with us yesterday, I will have a wave sail with you soon mate I am keen to get the wave fun events going again. We need Marlin, Brett, Kaleb, Kazza signed up for a winter wave fun day.

Went to Mt Field this morning for a ski, heaps of snow but couldn't get up cos the road was closed, so no probs thought I'd come back and go for a sail.....12.30pm today it was 4.6 bloody degrees so changed my mind and went home....s..t thats cold
Oh and we don't have to worry if Lauderdale gets flooded....no one would be missed
Warning, warning ..Flood warning for Cole river, including very elevated areas, sadly lettuce cant do backstroke, but us Lauderdale lads can!!
Warning warning.........Lauderdale won't get flooded....damm we will just have to put up with the buggers
I took some photos/video of Lauderdale front beach yesterday. Will post some when i can be bothered getting the camera out of the car.
It was amazing to see the damage its doing to the beach, dunes and how high the water was coming up to the dunes. Now i know what Claire has been going on about, in relation to living in Lauderdale and the global warming issues with flooding.
Only one solution i told her, live above Dorans on the hill She didnt say no but didnt say yes either
Cremorne beach got a work out. Lost a good metre or more off banks in the middle of the beach. I wouldn't have liked to be the house on the point.
Pics of Goats and Wedge. Sand dunes totally eaten into, no access to beach from the middle car park at Goats, just a sheer sand dune cliff!
