Forecast looking really good for the upper East Coast this weekend. If it holds Sunday is looking epic for Shelly Point. Sat may be a day to explore somewhere new, maybe north end of lagoons conservation area north of Bicheno. There are already a few sailors coming, let's get the whole crew!
a few of us going up Saturday, camp overnight and do Shelly Sunday,
Thats the plan at then moment anyway
I'm thinking about it... And watching those numbers. MSW forecast has improved since last night - 12.00 -25 knots
3.00 - 28 knots
6.00 - 24 knots
Good sail up the coast, we explored a new reef at Chain of Lagoons,
Geoff, Luka,Simon and myself
Swell was a bit small to get full effect but we all sailed a new location in TAS and had fun!
We could of had a classic jump session at Dennison as it was 25knots- 4.8 weather on the way back.
I think we were all happy to check out Lagoons and put another spot on the windsurfing map.
Sorry no photos as we were all totally frothing to get out there!

Well done! Glad to hear the punt payed off??????
Didn't the Ant and crew sail chain of lagoons a few years back in a biggish swell and light wind with lots of swimming???
Maybe they sailed four mile creek come to think about it. You guys have new spot tested well done ,
Was diamond Island working ? Ben Servern said he had great sail there once.
Think the swell was just a bit too small all round (especially for Diamond Island). Wind was also a bit dodgy, very high humidity, lots of coastal fog. I think the spot is known as Horry's and is a good surf spot. I think it has good potential for windsurfing especially on the NE seabreeze but needs a 2 to 3 foot NE swell with a good period or a bit if swell out of the South. Was fun trying out a new place.
