The water in Summer really isn't that cold. I wear a spring suit most of the time but just a rashie if it is a warm day. In Winter it is a 5mm wetsuit and a hood and I find that reasonable good though the hands suffer a bit.

I think Tasmanian water is warmer than one might expect because of ocean currents

Summer sailing in 3/2 steamer or 3/2 short arm/legs is fine
5mm for winter
rashie and shorts sometimes on a hot day

I think we were all impressed and just a little bit jealous of how easy he made it look from duck tacks in the white water to mast high back loops in no wind
