My work load has eased a little so I'm keen for the hurricane tomorrow. I feel like a good speed blast at Dorans.

Tomorrow arvo its west wind building and swell building. Should be good for Carlton, so I'll knock off midday and head out. Kazz, try some waves instead.
Wednesday looks like it'll get to 20+knots NW early arvo, then back off later, so might be a bit iffy. Maybe flatwater at Dorans/Mortimer??
Thurs looks good for arvo. Going WNW 25+ knots early arvo. Swell smallish, but could be Carlton again?

Swell net says the swell is only ankle height at midday and shoulder to head high by 6pm, that's a quick build up. Does that mean it will be waist height at 3.30pm?

I'll be heading to Sandpits about 2pm strong W to WNW cross off shore with a building swell setting up for some epic down the line riding right off the back of a NNW so it should be as smooth as a babies ....

I know it's only early but at the moment at Clifton its 0 knots with ankle deep waves and beautiful sunshine. Of course based on the forecast we are not sailing at Cliffy but where we end up is anyone's guess - nice of the ant man to through a curveball and throw sandpits into the mix. Will be interesting to see what's happens later but we are know in wait and watch mode.

There's a crew of at least 3 at Dorans and it's good apparently. So I'm gunna pike on Carlton and ensure I get a sail in at Dorans.

It will be like 7 hours of painful labour. Waiting and screaming in pain while the waters pour down from heaven; waiting for that miracle to happen. At the final hour, when all hope is lost a screaming windsurfer will fall to the sodden ground. Born again as a whimpering little baby. Realising their pathetic place in the world, bowing to their god, pleading for mercy and to be released from the hell of their birth into the new winter weather world of Tomorrow.

Looked at recent forecast and weather obs. for Wednesday (today).
Forecast suggests wind will back off from 25 knots (this morning) to 15-20 and turn more north west for early arvo. Late arvo meant to stay similar direction and pick back up to 25+. BoM obs for airport show it's dropped from 20 gusting 30 knots about an hour ago, to now 15 gusting 20 knots.
So if you go, take some bigger gear maybe? Or wait....
Apparently at 9:30 it was 15-20 and 3/4 mast high at Carlton according to Relic.
Dorans was quote "Looking Hot" at 11:10 according to Damo.

Marty I spoke to someone who lives at Lauderdale about 30 mins ago and he said it was howling at Dorans but very gusty. Can't believe that cause the Derwent is dead.
Think I'll stay warm & toasty at work today.

Hay - Mister Last-Photo.

I think that you have lost one of your 2 booms.....?

It MUST have been HARD CORE if you had to sail with 2 rigs at the same time?

You guys are as hard as snails...
