Some gopro , super smooth inside the point
25/30 knots Tuesday with better shaped swell was probably as good as Bellboy gets Tuesday but I enjoyed my last healthy day picnic in 10c at Cloudy Bay on the Monday. While every wind reading station in Tasmania including Cape Bruny was over 40 knots we sat on a largely wind free beach in the sun on the Monday with only a tiger snake and damo for entertainment(both dangerous when fired up)
I'm pretty sure this was that day in 2003 that ended up with a helicopter rescue!
Crap footage and unfortunately didn't capture any actual sailing , but sort of shows the conditions ...
Dave that must be 20 years ago but the important point is Cloudy is as BOL when it's working just got to get the right forecast and take the risk
For sure.. The only way to get the epic session is to put the hard yards in and accept you'll get skunked every so often
Didn't know Don Burke sailed
I remember a few skunked journey's down to Cloudy. One of those days Ant went out and broke every piece of gear possible (not like Ant) and didn't even get planning
Now I'm in trouble for swearing, insinuating Cremorne sailers are pantywaisters...................no fun any more.
Cheers Don
