I've done the housework and kids are back to school. Anyone sailing today?

Afternoon sail for me at Dorans unless swell picks up - just checked Cliffy and next to nothing at the moment.

That is like admitting you are a 'stay at home dad'. No argument now

Tongue firmly in cheek Oh and by the way five of us had a good couple of hours at Doran's. I was home in time to have my missus's slippers waiting for her when she walked in the door and have dinner on the table.

In the meantime ... for all those who were thinking about coming up north, but procrastinated too much ...
Bell Buoy looked more like the west coast today ... Claire took this photo of me heading out ...

I turned up at BellBuoy just as Luka was packing up and we had a chat about how big and messy it was out the back and how gusty the wind was. I decided that rather than going solo and risk the gear being swept onto to "beach" (ROCKS) when I had the inevitable swim I would go to East and do some sailing and swimming where it was a bit more sandy.
East looked a little less crazy and as I was heading out Chris turned up with some gear. Then after a few runs the wind went from 20 knots to well over 40 knots. In these conditions when you try to waterstart the whole board and rig wants to become airborn. The air temperature seemed to drop another 5 degrees and by the time I had made it back to shore Chris had decided that it didn't look like fun which mostly was an accurate assessment of the conditions. I waited for a little while and conditions settled down a bit. Chris took some photos with my old Nikon D60. It was great to have someone keeping an eye on things in the crazy conditions and the photos are an added bonus.

Alright, that's enough!

I want to know where the 'Spring-like' Spring sailing is!

And who gets to decide that:

Weekday = Windy-day
Weekend = Windless

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
