Hi all - northerners and southerners
Tomorrow's forecast for the north coast looks beautiful! 25 knots + westerly ALL DAY.
Bellbuoy is going to be the place to be if the forecast holds as is. We have had some brilliant sails there over the past couple of months with lots of different people and abilities on the water, doing some really DIFFERENT stuff - challenging and motivating!
I am looking forward to a good blast, and to catching up with anyone else who might turn up, even kiters... ummm, except Houston of course.
May you be blown away!
Should be a great day. After the last sail motivation for loops has been enforced. Bring on another session.
Finally sorted out equipment, and I am keen to go for a waves tomorrow, although I sailed what we call "waves" in Croatia only twice, so that would be quite new for me.
What time would you guys be there tomorrow?
Luka
Luka - We are currently aiming for a 9.00 arrival at Bellbuoy, assuming that the wind is up. The wind has just picked up from the NW now (7.00 pm Saturday) and so we can reasonably expect an early start to be appropriate.
Some of us will be aiming to sail pretty much ALL day, so you should have company regardless. There will be plenty of experience on the water, as well as plenty of Newbies, so just turn up and make sure that you have FUN!!!
I can't wait.
Hey Geoff
I don't have any wave gear so I will give La Goon a blast and then drop around to watch the show. I love watching you guys!! Maybe WT could invest in a 'learner's' wave rig? Hope it all comes together.
Cheers
Steve
Steve - if you have a birthday coming up - WAVE GEAR!
See you there at some point then. It is looking like a good day and last time Jason, Greenie and I sailed at Bellbuoy there was lots of upside down and back-to-front - forwards and backwards.
Great day by Dad and I, worth the drive.
Nice to meet everyone.
A few photos i took of the day.
god bless and good night
Some photos from the GOON today.
Spent all day sailing in 25-30 but as tide flattened river wind stopped just long enough to make us de rig... then came back in as we cracked the beer.... thanks for the beer Geoff
Nice pics all!! Was a bit busy, so I couldn't sail today. But managed a few photo's of Izaak and Stew before Jordo, Tom and Ray joined them.
Some more photos from a great day up north.
Despite the forecast saying it was going to be rock solid all day it was quite variable.
A 5 metre was the sail of choice
OMS + Captai Morg
Thanks for taking the time to upload all those photos, and for capturing some of the fun and games in the first place. A bit of a funny day, but it is always nice to get wet, and even nicer to have the photos to jog the memory afterwards.
Now - sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Nice one guys, great wind, great weather, great waves, great sailing, great forwards, great backies great pics..................................for a bunch a w...........s
Great pics, and great day yesterday for first sail in Tassie.
Although shore-break beat me in the beginning, it got better by the end of the day.
Looking forward for the next time.
