Team Oysters Road Trip 4 - 2017

It's rapidly approaching that time of year!
Wednesday 8th of Feb for 3 to 4 days - just driving to the wind.
We'll try and post updates of destinations as often as we can.
The previous 3 years have seen us sail Stanley, Hawley, Deviot, Rosevears, Coles Bay, Swansea, Diana's lagoon, St. Helens, Humbug point - the best food and drink Tassie has to offer along the way, great mates, and the randomness of getting out somewhere different!

Everyone is welcome any time, anywhere, for any length of time.

Year 1

Year 2

Year 3

Have youse settled on a plan for day 1?
Stanley looking good tomorrow, and a nice pub. Not sure about the garlic bread.
Will you be updating location on WhattsApp?
Have a great trip

Day 1 and we're heading to Stanley. Why break tradition when it turns on like this - 4th year in a row beginning at the east inlet. :-)

The pub is booked, and they know which herd bread to have on the menu!

Stanley turned it on.
Heaps on the water. *edit: think I counted 11/12 peeps.
Great day.

Couldn't ask for a better start to the road trip, heaps out having a great time on the strong Easterly.
Power went out at the pub but that was after the bread and mushroom sauce was consumed... Still not sure where today will take us.

Still undecided where to head today - next few days are marginal everywhere. East coast via port Sorell perhaps today.

Lagoon turned it on enough for a great sail. Time to catch up on some sleep now and regrow the liver.
Great trip once again. And 3 sailing days out of 4.
Locking in the annual leave tomorrow for the same dates - photos and video to come!

Day 2 - Called in to see Barry catch a wave or two in his front yard

Day 3 - Coles Bay, superb backdrop to sail around at

Day 4 - Familiar grounds back at Lagoon Bay, with 12 on the water in the end, to close out the road trip

A few of us thought the absence of posts meant no wind for a few days. 3 out of 4 aint bad. Looking forward to the video.

To get footage for a good movie one must wear the camera. But I hate how GoPro's only show recording next to the lens ...all I'm saying.

Wow, What an incredible trip. They just keep getting better.
Great to have the Rod, Johnny, Cookie, and James with us the whole trip as well as a many others joining us in Stanley and Low Head.

Wind really delivered and found some great food and laughs along the way... even a beam can here and there.
Cant wait for 2018!

Awesome videos, thanks.
You guys do have some amazing places to sail down there. Stanley looks to be worth a look next visit.

Caught glimpses of a pretty interesting looking board in the earlier videos Ben. Colour looked a bit off though.

Cheers, Brad

If you come down here you have to sail Stanley. It is a must and you'll regret it if you don't!!!!

You might be referring to the AHD long board?

Sorry Jimmy, I was just going off the stubby holders
