The ownership/management of the TheSpotGuide ( www.thespotguide.com.au/TAS/index.html ) has recently been handed over to Windsurfing Tasmania after many years of development and support from Johnny Huett. Johnny put an enormous amount of work into the site in its early days and it has provided valuable information to sailors for many years and that effort is widely recognised by windsurfers in TAS and interstate.

The committee is looking at updating the information into more user friendly Google Maps formats and is (gradually) working through TheSpotGuide data. A preview of the new format can be seen for a few spots can been seen at the link below (hopefully).

The future of the Spotguide will be a topic for the WT AGM in September, and input from Tassie sailors/Foilers will be sought.

Cheers, Mort
PS. I've added a couple of Marrawah locations, but they need some editing (tomorrow). Too many Sunday beers.

That's great Adam. Johnny Huet did a great job setting the original site up and, as you say, it has been used by many local and visiting sailors. It will be great to see the spot guide continue and be kept up to date.
