I was just hanging out with some of Houtons friends at Ho'okipa today. AWT is on and it was amazing to see the quality of sailing and a lot of big names sailing in the event and free sailing
I'm going to try and get out on the water tomorrow.. not here though
Nice work Jez
I am sure Robby talked about Ant and I on a first name basis
Hope Robby gave you some speed tips for the SP95 and SP60 to share with team Naish only.
well done Jez. hope your camera was not set on email size!
enjoy the rest of the holiday.
ps. did you address the broken batten end warranty with Robby, ha ha
Great shot jez ,lucky bugger.houston said he would text you jasons and bjorns number soon, for dinner round at hookipa naish beach house. Sweet
Wow - I saw this about a minute after you posted it Jez, and wondered who the guy was with Robby!
How friggin awesome. He has been Mr Windsurfing for me since I started buying Freesail/Sailboard mag's when I was kid... and Maui just a dream away...
Stoked for you Jez!
Amazing what Photoshop can do Jez! At least you had the guts to go up and say hello to Robbie, I couldn't bring myself to do it when I saw him, didn't know what his reaction would be, looks like he's friendly and easy going.
Dad said, 'south/south west sandpits too onshore, She'll be Apples said clifton looked good in the middle!'
Yer it was an amazing experience and so much fun I actually talked to Robbie N for a bit, just about our trip nothing to do with windsurfing, he had just flown in from Ohau for the arvo to sail and then was returning later in the arvo. (so lucky timing for me:)) Even Claire really enjoyed watching, she was right into the womens competition.
Here a some of the names that were sailing in the comp and free sailing, most were in the comp though(awesome watching them):
Stone, Guilloul, Browne, Naish, Tabou, Goya, Lenny, Silver, Pritchard, Polakow..
Watching these guys def makes you want to do more wave sailing They even had a masters category, so Houston would have been set
Claire and I sailed at Kanaha Beach Park today which was cool :) Sailed bump and jump naish gear, so might sail slalom tomorrow. Trade winds die out after tomorrow and dont return till Monday, which is good so we can do other stuff :) Might get another sail in at Ohau, when they return.
Hope the wind is starting to fire up over there :)
Go up the volcano there on Maui Jez, it's like being on the moon. And also Lahina, pretty little town.
Jez at least you could ahve been wearing a Naish tee shirt.....you dick, hope you got the autograph for me and Russ.
Maybe tomorrow you could catch up with Rob again and getting him on seabreeze he might be keen in joining the wave comp at south Goats, pretty cool...
