Work has begun on the new lawn and walkway. Final configuration is shown here: www.bayside.vic.gov.au/news/works-south-dendy-street-beach.

The lawn area to the north of the men's toilet block can still be used for rigging, but it's very small. Suggest that, as soon as a sail is rigged, it is moved so as to allow others to rig. Sails can be carried down onto the beach along both sides of the first beach hut.

Took a look at the works at Dendy St last Wednesday and found that they have been completed. I'm impressed by the functionality of the works.

The sandbags in the lower picture will make it easier for the old guys with crook knees to come up from the beach carrying their gear and the new lawn area will allow lots of gear to be rigged/derigged easily.

UNFORTUNATELY.............

In order to pay for this improvement, parking fees at all of the Bayside Council beaches have risen to $6/hr or $18/day.

Now, if only the sailing/non-sailing pole can be moved toward Melbourne a bit .................................

Before the pole was installed 200 m out to see parks Victoria had a yellow boy the boy was further to the north. Back in my day.
If I remember the correctly I think they moved the pole on the beach as well. It's the deep water pole that causes the problem
i wonder if council removed the old drain from in front of sand bags in the water
looking forward to summer
