Just curious as to what views are out there, whether that be locally in OZ or internationally. ??
Know they're expensive but what isn't these days, ??.
Certainly like the appearance of them, but a little difficult "doin' the try b4 u buy" scenario, especially as we're 4 hrs from SHQ in Melbourne.
Any existing owners of this board welcome.
Are they just another Cobra board with gimmicky sales pitch?
Are they really bullet proof & blitz hard in variable to mid strength conditions. Up to 25'ish knots is ample for some quality fun.
I'm looking at a replacement for my 2003 SB Carve 135 which has a LOT of miles on it sailing inland lakes (with a 7.5) where we have puffy / gusty wind most days.
The Carrera 128 and the Bolt 127 are the two boards I'm looking at.
The Carrera is narrower and would be more fun for turning.
The Bolt is wider and would be faster.
Carrera has a PB fin, the Bolt a deep Tuttle (which can hold a foil)
Fast is always fun, but manuverability is sweet.
I doubt that I'll ever get into foiling, but who knows.
This is my 46th windsurfing season, I'm a good sailor :-)
Curious to hear advice on either...
