summer is here and the season is full on, plenty of wind around the bay...is there any club that organizes any racing event? slalom fin or foil? i had a look online seems only events are for windsurfer class, what's about modern funboard stuff? Anyone knows anything?

Sadly no racing beyond GPSTC in Victoria and even that has dropped off. One design stuff in Melbourne (Parkdale) is about it.
Come to Elwood Sailing Club from 3pm everyday there is southerly wind.
There are a group of us trying to rip each others to pieces on modern slalom gear from 12knots of wind on our 85 wide boards with 8.6, to 63 wide and 6.2 when its howling. We sail between the club and Dawson Street. Two of us are recently off the water with slalom induced injury, but there is always a daily gathering to be found, so join us.
