This is some footage of my son & I at Coronation beach. There's lots of stacks as he has great difficulty these days holding on unhooked due to a weak & deteriorating left hand. He tried hard though.

Looks like the two of you had a great time, it's such an amazing playground! Great video!

He's ripping. Any chance he can come to the Oceania Youth Wave Titles at Coronations late Feb (weekend)? More information is on the Windsurfing WA website here: www.windsurfingwa.org.au/events/172778/

We're planning on it being an annual event. And next year will aim to shift it into school holidays - probably January. So hopefully then it's easier for east coast youth. The idea for the event originated quite late in 2022 and there wasn't time to run it any earlier. But we thought it was better to just start it this year and then aim for a bigger event next year.

Excellent work Dave J... good sailing, but I was also impressed with the footage (drone, long lens, GoPro) along with the tight editing and choice of music, mixed well with the actual sound.I'm currently stuck at home, in rehab for 4 or 5 months after major gluteal surgery on my 71 year old body, but my surgeon and physio tell me I'll be sailing flat water by July, waves in September. I'll be heading up to Coro's in October like I always do, hanging out there for a few weeks before heading up to Exmouth for a few more weeks...

... but for the moment, I'm on crutches, dreaming.... which is why your video was the perfect tonic for me today. (BTW I used to work in the TV industry... thus my interest in your fine production and post-production work). I used to sail Port Philip Bay (near Gnotuk in Edithvale) but 20 years ago the warm water and steady wind here in WA seduced me to come live in paradise.

Thanks for those complentary words Cecil. Yes, editing takes a long long time for sure!
Gluteal surgery, that doesn't sound so comfortable. Hope you recover well!
