Going to Boracay over Christmas and planning to try. Can report then. Heard it's bump and jump.

Not been myself but a few of the buys I sailed with in Malaysia used to go to Kingfisher Resort in the Northern Philippines: kingfisher.ph/

Best wind period apparently is from October to April. It's technically winter so expect rain and cooler temperatures. Maybe do some research because spot has a reef system and like some of the spots in Indonesia can be tricky to sail on a low tide.

Bulabog Beach is the main windsurfing beach in Boracay, there's equipment rentals and such. Supposedly lot cleaner now compared what it used to be. Few years ago they cleaned up lot of illegal sewage flowing directly to the bay and what not. Haven't been there lately though.

Anyhow, it's mostly flat water bay sheltered behind the reef. Going outside probably good for bump and jump stuff. Indeed wouldn't say there's much wave riding happening. What else I remember is kites crash landing left and right as lot of beginners and holiday-kiters around, felt so alert all the time :)
