Get ready to set sail at the first wave sailing event of the 2024-25 season - the SurfFX Woolgoolga Wave Classic!

Held in the stunning coastal town of Woolgoolga, this event has always been a highlight for competitors, with many describing it as having 'the best social atmosphere' of the season. This year, we are thrilled to announce that the SurfFX Woolgoolga Wave Classic will be an IWT 1 Star event, adding an extra layer of prestige to this much-loved competition.

The local Kiters have installed sand bags on the south side of Flatty to keep the top access from eroding so fast. Please tread as lightly as possible, as only filled and put down today. Enjoy your weekend of pole dancing, it looks like nice conditions.

Great Job NSWWA.Conditions favoured the skilled solid surf and light winds.
My First Comp, day over quickly, mast in multiple pieces (Next time bring spares).
Watching the finals showed why this is such a cracking sport. Seeing the seasoned girls and fella's negotiate a tricky gutter and sweep with fast tacks / gybes / holding stationary, waiting for a run to the outside. Then dropping into logo high bombs. Congrats
NSWWA Committee welcomed us newby's and encouraged involvement in learning to judge.
Thanks to the local kiting crew (sandbag stairs amazing) it was good to meet you.
