The Lancelin wave comp is back again as part of the new Lancelin Wind Festival, 18-21JJan'23
South Passage will be the scene for the comp in windsurf and wingfoil, and categories to suit everyone from young to old and pro to amateur.
The wave comp is part of the new Patrik Lancelin Wind Festival, running from 18-21Jan'23, and is being organised by Windsurfing WA and the Lancelin Community Resource Centre, with race event management by Patrik Windsurf.
The festival itself will include heaps of on and off water activities for all ages including:
- New marathon course with a gybe mark close to spectators
- Wave Comps (Windsurf and Winging)
- Windsurfing and Winging Racing
- Techno racing
- Windsurfing clinics
- Windsurf, Wing and SUP demos & try out sessions
- Fireworks, Live Music and Parties

Day 1 of the Wave Comp has been locked in for Wednesday 18 January with a forecast . Check in will be open from 9:00-11:00am at Harold Park in Lancelin, with the actual comp starting any time from midday depending on conditions. Day 2 of the Wave Comp is yet to be confirmed (Thu or Fri) depending on a final forecast check (hopefully tomorrow). Stay tuned for further news.
