Got to choose the gear I take on the plane...

Got 6.2/7.0/7.8 and smallest board is 62 wide slalom. I am 80kg+

Am I going to regret leaving my small race sail at home which is a 5.2 or will 6.2 likely be ok for racing? I will have wave gear as well, so I could put a wave sail on the small board.

It gets a bit expense if you go over the weight limits.

Did the race in 2016 and will be racing this season. I'm 87kg and ran an 110/87 lt board with a 7.5-6.6 combination. Depends on how you like to race, fully lit or control and comfortable. 6.2/7.8 combo might work with your board size

Small gear. We haven't managed to have one yet where you would rig bigger than a 7m for the Saturday. Famous last words..

Are you on severne gear? I have bigger sails you could borrow if it eventuates to be light wind

Thanks yes Severne gear, I should be good with my 7.8 (that works from 15knots in a pinch). Went with 6.2/7.0/7.8 two boards 62 wide and 70 wide slaloms.

All booked, ready set go. Looking forward to a fantastic Jan in WA.
