The history of racing in W.A in recent years is to get the thing over as quickly as possible.

Running events at the first opportunity of a planing seabreeze from around 1pm is ridiculous.

No events should start less than 2-30pm in my opinion.

Till this obvious problem is addressed I see less and less sailors entering events.

And what said events have you entered pete

Going to do the Ledge if its held on Sunday.

Dont do many events anymore as they are not held at a sensible time.

The Lancelin Ocean Classic marathon events are scheduled for Saturday 16 - event organisers are aware of weather conditions and are monitoring closely. Please keep an eye on the website, Facebook page and registered competitor emails for any updates.

Guys,
Why not come up to Lano for the great weekend on offer?
Support the event, all the efforts put in by the people up there!
Your perfect conditions will happen one of these years - it will be a bonus!
- last year we got a good race from a poor forecast...

Looks like all my whinging did the trick. I'm taking full credit.

Edit,10.30am possible start? Crazy early.

Thought running simultaneous wave and marathon would have been the way to go.

Not sure now but will try!

Got a few PM's asking how to get your GPS track into RaceQS

1. Got to raceqs.com/ and click on SignUp to create a new account/profile, if using your facebook profofile takes only a few seconds.
2. log in.
3. Once logged in click on the My Journal Tab, and on the left hand side is a "Upload GPS file", and upload file :)4. Your DONE!
It adds your GPS track to your profile, if you track is within the event area for the event time, its automatically added to the Event website.
RaceQS is a brilliant crowdsourced platform, that anybody can use for free. See how you did leg by leg.If you use a water proof mobile, just down load the app and either live stream your track or upload when you back to the beach. Where did they gain on you and why, where have you got them beat and how can you leverage that advantage further.Excellent training tool!!Enjoy!
