nice photos Snides. That second one after Windxtasy is great with what looks like an impending rain squall about to hit.

Oh Snides, I am so excited! Finally a good picture of me sailing! Well a good picture of my board and sail anyway! Until now I have only had a couple of fuzzy distance photos, and the only evidence I have had that I actually can sail are some numbers on the GPSTC website. I am sailing off the fin too. I didn't know I could do that!
Every time I see pics posted of people sailing I wish there was one of me (because I don't have one) and now there is!
You can't believe how happy I am right now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Can you send me a copy of that photo please?

Great photo of Stephen.

Sausage, there were rain squalls about every 15 minutes.

It looks like I am going fast but my top speed was only 24 knots that day. The wind had dropped and I had changed to my big board to stay on the water. 111L iSonic and 6.4 Koncept. I can't see the uphaul rope so that was probably my first run on the big board. There was only about 12 knots of wind. It doesn't take much to get that board planing, and the 40 canefire has plenty of lift.

Cripes you look like your ripping! Looks pretty choppy though so that's probably a good speed for those conditions. For those in the know would an isonic plane earlier than a freemove board? Excocet Xcross 115? I often wonder how my boards go for early planing compared to slalom boards..

Yes. The iSonic does plane earlier and with less wind. I traded my Futura of the same size for just that reason. I also find the iSonic gybes better (the sharp rail holds the edge) and as I only use it in low wind, chop is not an issue.
