This Sunday we kick off the Metro Kids Windsurfing for this season.

Kids Windsurfing Program

This season we are again running the Metro Kids Windsurfing program in Perth. The aim of the program is to get families out on the water windsurfing by providing assistance with kid specific equipment along with a few tips and tricks for how to get them loving windsurfing.

Come and Try - If you would like to introduce your children to windsurfing, we have the equipment you need to get them started.

For the first session they don't need to join WWA but after the first session we request that kids become a member of Windsurfing Western Australia. To keep costs down a Kids Membership ($35) has been establish or if there is more than one sailor in the family we have Family Membership (parents $85, kids $30).

The general plan for the sessions will be:
The basic plan is to get the kids out on the water together having fun no matter the skill level. Through windsurfing together they build confidence and will soon be pushing each other's skill level. For the more confident kids we set a few challenge like mini races etc.

Beginner kids, onto the water before the seabreeze gets too strong (11am to 12pm).
More advanced kids can wait for the wind to pickup if they like

Cost = FREE but please register for the event so we have an idea of numbers for catering.

Thank you windsurfing WA for organising the day - it was great to see so many kids - maybe 30? 40? My young bloke Jonah had a good day and is keen to get along to the next one. He is asking about a kids' race?
