He was a surfboard shaper, surfer and also a windsurfer and a great shaper of windsurf boards. I remember my Warren Thompson Santosha Pro-Speed finish waveboard which was tops. The best wavesailing board I have ever had, a Santosha Prospeed finish 8'6" being a Single fin pintail by Warren Thompson and perfect at Margaret River 1987-1989 with Gaastra Wavefoil Pro 5.2 and 4.6 m2. A magic board from a great shaper who has passed. May his memory be a blessing. One picture I just saw in a December 1993 Freesail was the later version "Jay Wild" model but shows the sweet classic lines he drew. He also shaped some great malibu longboards too, well tuned and tested in the line up at Ocean Beach, Denmark.

My first proper waveboard was a custom 8'10" Santosha shaped by Warren Thompson.
Fantastic board that gave me many seasons of fun windsurfing.

Sorry to hear of his passing.
