RPYC welcomes Old School Windsurfers, starting on Friday October 19th at 1700 or as soon as you can get there. We will be running a number of short course races in the Bay with a Safety Boat in attendance followed by a BBQ with refreshments. Now is definitely the time to get that old Wally dusted off, but if you have any long boards you are welcome to come and have a blast! Foiling boards are also welcome! Families are welcome to join in the post-race relaxation and the BBQ picnic on the lawn.

We'll also be running course racing for windsurfers in conjunction with our normal dinghy racing on Sunday afternoons for those interested

Please contact Chris Goldacre for more information at sailtraining@rpyc.com.au or 9389 1555.

Yes Mike sailed his Equipe with Mistral 7.4 m2 sail, last weekend to first place over the line. There is a race at PDSC Saturday and also Sunday at MBSC. Mike might be on his foiling Moth Mach2 Sat but will probably join us Sunday. He will likely be at MBSC this week sailing his Moth daily after sailing from Como on the Equipe and home. I hope to do both days..Racing is scheduled for this Sunday 2 pm MBSC I should be there earlier. Mounts bay do have impromptu sailing on Friday nights- no official starts or races but generally Denis, Snides and a few are out training. Yeah feel free to bring the Equipe and join in. I sent you a PM.

I believe there is no racing at PDSC this weekend as opening day is actually next weekend on the 20th of October

I'm not sure about bringing lots of kit but would be keen for a rb session before the WWA thing and then again before the breeze kicks in on sat arvo. I'll decide when I'm packing the car in the morning.
What are you on snides? Mike is an unusually good sailor on the RB. Just like Zuls. They have a great battle.

Last Saturday I was on the new WindsurferLT- Mike over took me halfway through the race when the wind picked up and the equipe took off.
tonight if it's not raining -I sail my yacht in the Friday night twilights.
if it's raining I will just take the Wally out. But Friday's are reserved for keel boat racing normally.

RPYC probably has the most sophisticated starting system in the yachting community with the Rosser Starting System (as seen on ORPYC). Now we also have the most unsophisticated with the Goldacre Starting System ??. If you wish to see it's true potential ?? come down to RPYC and see its exclusive use at our Board Racing Twilights every Friday Night. The informality of our racing is nothing compared to that of our starting system ??. Racing starts at 5pm, rain, hail or shine (well almost ??) for as many short races as we can fit in before the sun goes down. Don't worry if you're running late, just come out and join in.

After racing beer is cold, barbie is hot and music is loud!
All boards welcome for some fun racing before the weekend begins.
