Thumbs Up

I thought we can share some of our "secret" spots to wing foil around Perth, also including the right conditions.

I'm living close to the river and used to kite foil here but launching options were much more limited. Winging has opened up so many other fun spots to enjoy this awesome sport, especially when the wind direction is not the usual.

Apex reserve (Swan River Rowing Club)
Perfect in the southerly wind.
Easy parking, grassy area to rig.
Ideally, you need 3-5 knots stronger wind to compensate for the lulls and turbulent air but in the pure southerly wind you will be fine.
You can easily go upwind, a nice challenge to get over Deep Water Point.

Deep Water Point:
Similar southerly,south-easterly winds are ideal here.
Parking is plenty but can be really busy on the weekend when the wind is light and the ame true to the water.
Nice grassy area to rig and sandy shore.

Narrow Bridge - Millers Pool
The ideal wind direction is Easterly or ESE is even better because then the wind is less turbulent.
Fun spot as you can foil close to the quay and just so unique to be close to the CBD on a foil.
The water can be really choppy south from the launching site around the Queen street.
Parking is close to the water with grass and sandy shore.

I hope you find it useful and looking forward to reading about other "secret" spots!
