Just bought my first Armstrong gear: A+ masts (72 and 85cm) and HS1550 v2 wing. A bit overwhelmed and since I still need to get a fuselage and tail, I am looking for your thoughts.

I am 80kg/175 lbs, 105l board, can gybe (most of the time) but still working on foot switches. Winging on lakes with low winds (12-20 kits), but want to learn how to pump/dock start.

1550 v2 is paired with HS232 but can't find that used.
There is a like new v200 A+ tail for sale for about USD $240.
There is also HA195 A+ for USD $150 but not sure if HA tail will go with HS wing.
Of the two, which one would you recommend or should i just get HS232?

And what fuselage would you recommend for me?

In the future, I would love to try HA series for pumping/dock starting and of course winging. Which wing should I get?

Thanks in advance.

All armie gear in transferable from the very first foil the the most recent. But an A plus fuse will fit the new tails better plus you can use the plastic shims instead of the Titanium ones. So go a 60cm A plus fuse for sure.

Tail wise the HA tails go well with the Hs line. At 80kg i'd get the 195 before any other tail. Then again if it was me i'd go the 180 speed tail to be honest. Much better pitch control - tails are more important than what you may think. Def not the V tail 200 - weird ass of a thing. the surf 205 tail is decent (and i'd get that before a 235. But as you are on lakes and not waves the higher aspect tail the better.

So 60 A plus fuse and a 180 tail is my suggestion. Gradually increase the shim for more glide and pump as you get better.

Thanks for your thoughts. I read that the 195 isn't as good as the other ones.
I am now leaning towards either 220 or 205.

well no not really but you can get them cheap and they are fast. But can be a tad pitch sensitive. 220 is a big tail (and slow i recon). But will be super stable.

Still think the 180 would be the best choice.

Or get the 220 and then when you've got everything dialed then get the 180. And the 220 would be okay for dock starting as well.

205 is really for surf - it doesn't have enough glide and speed for flat lake winging.
