Axis bring our new foil designs extremely frequently and as a result previous excellent foils wings only recently released get over looked.
A good example is the ART pros and currently in particular the 1051.
For DW and just fun on flat water these are currently a bargain on SB forsale section.
Another example is the HPS which was the all time favourite only to be swamped and forgotten by new foil wings. The HPS dropped in value so much I bought them again. Turns out a good investment as their prices have now almost doubled.
In some cases, the ART pro 1051 is now listed at a lower price than some HPSs.
I expect the same will happen as excellent Axis foils drop in price they will become popular again and see a price increase.
I am unaware of any real dud or even close to dud Axis foils and I've had many.
I was just looking at one collecting dust- BSC 810, was my favorite for prone in the surf. I need to dust it off and revisit it winging in the surf.
How do the art pros behave compared to the art v1 and art v2's?
currently have an art 1099 but that's collecting a bit of dust since using my spitfires. Still use it sometimes , the glide is addictive but it's very hard to turn. Gybes are ok but tacks are a nightmare, even with an ultrashort fuse and a skinny stab.
When I jumped on the SF , I tacked it my first try. The 1099 also sucks in turbulent water / chop and cannot breach.
There's also a few art pros for sale here for the same reasons. Interested to hear thoughts
I just recently picked up a cheap used art pro 951. I use v1 999 as my primary foil for winging. 85kg. the 951 def needs more speed to take off vs the 999. But the speed is better, stability is just slightly harder, and the glide is unreal. Latches into surf super easily. And the stall speed feels pretty similar, maybe even a bit better. It's super fun. Def doing to be my foil for high wind days, since the only downside is the harder take off.
axis, keep making more foils and driving down the used foil market costs!!!

Hi Holoholo The axis bsc 810 is my favourite winging foil it is a great all round foil I have the 740 and 890 as well I love them all I was thinking about getting an art pro but I haven't tried 1 and don't know if I would be disappointed in comparison to the bsc range. Have you tried any of the arts and your thoughts in comparison cheers Rich
I have the BCS 740 which I love for kite foiling so it's another example that early versions are still relevant.
I am going to Merimbula at the end of November and if my ART pro 1051 hasn't sold before it will be available for demo.
I may have more for sale as I am a compulsive buyer of everything new.??

I also love the glide and speed of the ARTs. Still got the 999 V1 and like it. If u try to sell it yes u will see u get nothing for it. I also got the 1201 for lighter days and ppl started to sell there ART pros now for rediculous prices because of the fireball I think.
Breaching is much better with the Pros and the old ART seems to be more difficult to ride. Very sensitive in stalling.
