Looks like it depends where you are
Still big here. Not in other places. I was wrong.
I call DW boards, the "guaranteed to get a ride board", here in Florida we get a lot of 8-14mph days, and the biggest wing I need is a 5.5 with a 7' x 20.5" board (I weigh 88kg).
This was Sunday an average of 12mph, had a blast.
Well I got an Armstrong 8ft 11in x 17.25 in x 108l at a good price having demoed one first. It worked well for me in 15kn choppy lake conditions in the demo, amazingly stable.
It feel It fits my board quiver for sub 8kn windwing along with my Duotone Skybrid 5ft 8in x 22in x 85l and my allround comfort board a JP 6ft 8in x 26in x 96l.
This 8' x 19 127L has gotten me many wing sessions this winter that I'd have missed in the past. Has gotten me back home dry and warm too when the wind dies.
It's also been great for learning parawing, extending the bottom end of my 3M. I'm able to get up in 4M wing winds with a Code 1075R which wouldn't be possible on the mid length.
