North Easter in Winter in jervis bay

Today we had a cracker N/E in winter we normally get westerly winds this time of year and the N/E is our summer wind's hopefully get some more Are the Winds different to the norm in your areas

I'm not a regular there at all, but I got one session riding the north side Jervis Bay on a strong S-SE summer wind launching from the Callala Bay area. Very impressive swell. The locals told me that ocean swell wraps around the point and into the bay pushing north which is why it was definitely larger than typical bay swell
