Greetings ?? Will try to review this wing and compare and compare it to F-one CWC v2, v3. All wings was in 8m size. I'm beginner 81kg, 5.1 Seek v2 98l, MA1200 front wing and 270 tail, 70 fuse and 85 mast. I started in the end of the season and was learning in marginal wind conditions.

First impressions:
I was impressed by overall quality and all small details on the bag. It's plenty of room there and I can easily fit wing, mast , fuse and front wing! Definitely much better quality compared to F-one.

I hope to have session in couple of hours.

to be continued.

The 8m is a session saver. I'm a beginner and have had two sessions on it and absolutely love it. It's a big wing, but has the same width as a 6m Slick SLS. I haven't compared it to my first gen Nova in width yet.

So easy to get on the foil.

Awesome quality, handles are great and the n-weave is next level.

Got a 7/8 on way so will be interesting to see how they go. I'm 115kg and getting out there.

Hello, somebody has any update on those wings? I'm looking for the 8m. I'm 85kg, using an 83l appleslice v2 and gofoil stuff (gt2200 or gt1400 paired with ftl 20 and ftl17) for light wind days. I was able to get up in almost 8-10knots with a North Mode 7m. I hope to reach my minimium low end on 6knots. Hoping to hear soon how does the Loft 8 works on those conditions. Thx

that?s a german test, but with activated subtitles the translation will be pretty ok and understandable
They measured 3,3kg and mentioned that it was the lightest wing, size/weight ratio, they had in their test so far.

Anyone out there give the 2024 North loft pro 8m a go? I've got quite a few hours on it and at 100 kgs plus and have previously been riding Fone gen 2 & 3 8m wings so have quite a bit of hours on the big wings experience wise and was hoping the north loft pro 8m was going give me the new modern good light air big wing performance that my ol Fone V2 did and gotta say the North LP8m has good low end but has a few things I dislike as it has the tendency to fly up into the window resulting in a battle of righting the backwinding getting back on track very annoying even for a big guy like myself, also the hard handles diameter result in getting arm pump fatigue that I've never had on a big wing before and I ride with harness always kinda mystified as never had that with my F1 big wings was wondering if any other North loft pro 8m owners have had similar issues with it? I'm a larger rider and fairly advanced and was hoping the the loft pro was gonna be the new modern big wing light wind weapon for us HW riders and it's coming up a bit short IMO it's alright but not super stoked on it pretty much the same opinion on the Fone CWC 8m V3 which was more like a 6.5m in low end performance with a huge wing feel, but will say F1 V3 had a decent higher range performance Lol. Funny best big guy 8m was the older Fone V2 8m minus its handles and canopy material stretched too fast, hoping one of these wing companies get a big wing right moving forward as the North loft pro missed the mark on the 8m little disappointing

Heya Pitbulldoug,

Had mine a while now and found it has its negatives and positives.. like most gear.

The main negative is its tendency to back wind. I've mainly found this an issue when nearing the top end of its wind range and when riding in offshore and/or shifting wind. It requires a bit more fine AOA adjustment or attention compared to my other wings. I also find it very physical to ride.

I really like the build quality, the materials and the bottom end.

I ride an old Fanatic 2000 HA foil, however the other day I had the opportunity to ride a Fanatic 1305 Glide with it and really really enjoyed the Loft Pro with that foil. Not sure why the difference, maybe it was the conditions or the combination, but I had a blast.

Pretty spot on Crakas agree similar performance characteristics as what I thought like the build quality too but think the diameter of the handles add to the arm pump/fatigue that I get from riding that I really never experienced on my Fone big wings maybe solid/bar type handles ain't for me?I really like the V3 Fone handles but that's about it on the V3 CWC Fone Lol,if somehow North could do something about the backwinding issues and trim down handle diameter a tad be much more enjoyable definitely looking to replace it gave it quite a bit of hours on it but kind of had it with it,tired of battling the BW on higher spectrum of its range just ain't going to get better Lol next!

I'll pay a bit more attention to the thickness of the handles next time I'm out on it. I also have a SLS Slick with a standard boom, so nearly any handle feels thin compared to that.

I had the Nova Light wind 8.0 and the Loft Pro 8.0.
Only used the Loft Pro for a few sessions, but have nothing but good things to say about it. At least for beeing a 8m2 wing.

One of the session was two 30 minutes races. With very light wind for most of the time, but also some periods with good power.
I did not experience any bad issues with it in the gusts. Just giving good acceleration.

Used it with a F4 GP 1000 foil.

I sold it some time ago, as i changed my entire quiver, and decided to have 6.0 as the biggest.
If i am a bit flexible with time and driving, i can get at least two sessions a week all year around here with 6.0 as the biggest.

90kg, 1.92m.

Cheers,
Oyvind
