I am looking for information and feedback on the Smik Slab Wingfoil boards, the latest versions.
If among you there are owners of this model, I would like to have your feedback , how do you find the shape, what construction do you have, the volume distribution, the comfort, the flight start ......??
If you can give me your weight/height, level and the dimensions/volume of your board that would be great!! And if you have a custom and one or two photos I'm interested !!!
Thank you
I have the 5'6 , 93 litre version of this board which is what I think you are referring to. 6ft, 100kg rider
This was my third board and it is an absolutely phenomenal board.I had the previous version black and grey version as well which was 5'6 and 100l.The new shape is much better, gets off the water quicker, and is a pleasure to rise.Been winging for 2 years and to date I would rate this as my best purchase so far - helped my progression massively.
If I was to add one improvement - I think they took a bit much volume out the nose on the 5'6 version - it can dig in a bit if you put too much weight forward - but you get used to it, so not a major problem.
Check the length of the foil track suits your foil - with Axis advanced + fuselage - I'm right at the front of the track.
Thanks for your feedback WindWaterSailAU !!! What construction do you have ??
I will put this model in my Short List to replace my Naish Hover Ultra 6'6 x 33' of 140 liters.
For the size to think about, I am rather (very) comfortable on my Naish and am progressing so for my 1m89 and +/-110kg should I go for the 6'6 x 30' of 126 liters or the 6'3 x 29'5 of 121 liters knowing that I have a 100% Wingfoil practice, that I sail mainly in Lake which becomes quickly (very) Bumpy when it blows hard.
For the Foil I have Axis with BSC1120 / Freeride440 / Red Standard Fuse and HPS1050 / Prog400 / Black Short Fuse on a 19mm Alu mast.
