What are the best travel bags for wing foiling equipment? Wheels for dragging it around airports are a must. I want to be able to fit 5'4" 90L board, all the foil parts, and 1 or 2 wings.
The only one I've been able to find so far is this one from Takoon: takoon.com/products/wing-travel-bag
Any other ones?
Anyone experience with the Takoon?
I'm searching for same kind of bag. Thank you for Takoon bag idea! Not sure about wheels as they add weight to bag.
Ion are doing a nice one. Not sure if available yet depends where you are but ask your local shop
i dont see an Ion one with wheels?
I've used an Armstrong bag so far, which has shoulder strap and overall is really nice. Managed to fit a 90L board, together with a 35L board and a whole Armstrong foil and 1 wing. But really looking for an alternative with wheels.

I just picked an Armstrong 5-11, fits my 5-10 x 28 ding board & 4-2 prone board with foils . Very good quality and it has vertical sides so everything fits really snug. $289 Aus SurfFX stock them . Balin also do a cheaper version in the traditional clam shell shape to suit ding boards . Also at FX .

I've got the takoon one and while I've only flown with it once I think it's a good product for the money. It's nothing fancy but there's plenty of room for a couple wings and my foil setup in there and the internal straps held everything together well. The padding isn't very substantial but the trade off between cost, durability, padding and weight works for me.

What size you got? How much does it weight?
I got a 5'5" bag for a 5'2" board. The board has a very wide nose so I was concerned with width at the tip. As it turns out the bag also has a snub nose too (look at their comet sw board which gives an idea for the shape of the bag) so I probably could have sized down, but now I've got more room to jam other gear in there. I don't have it with me so I can't weigh it but it's quite light. It rolls up into a very compact package too.
There is also Takuma Board bags. takuma.com/en/accessories/226-board-bags.html
Look more substantial compare to Takoon bag.
Just got my takoon 5'4 in the mail, you can see my 5'4 wing drifter in it, plenty of space.
First impressions: feels quite flimsy and I definitely won't pack my gear in there without any additional protection before hopping on a flight and having airport people handle it. The foam is very thin, and there is also no extra protection over the hard covers of the wheels, so that could potentially ding the board if you don't stuff a towel in there or something.
It's bigger than my Armstrong bag, which is why I'll use it on my next trip so I can bring also a prone board and 2 wings, but the Armstrong bag is definitely better quality. Overall not very impressed with the Takoon tbh, but let's see...
Hey Guys,
any new news about Travelbags?
I'am searching a travel bag for a 5'2 board. The only bag that would fit me is the one from Larry Foiler but its only available in 4'8 size.
Does somebody know if the 5'2 could fit or knows where I could get a similar bag?
If the bag is wide enough you can usually squeeze in something a little bigger than advertised with the board on an angle as it goes in. But it will push against the padding and not be as protected.
i have a cabrinha av8 bag - this photo is with a 5ft surf board, pocket foil board, three kites, 2 bars, foil, harness, pump and wetsuit. Both boards and all the kites are in their own bags and still fit with space for essentials (towel, boardies and a toothbrush )
They are supposed to be for the cabrinha system but its just a regular (giant) roller bag. It would work well for a wing board as its quite wide (I haven't tried putting one in though as i'm riding a 6'3 sky sup!)
I ended up with largest Takuma bag. Used it for Maui trip. The bag fit Quatro Wing Drifter 5'6", 3 wings with 2 booms, Armstrong foil, large pump, and bunch of small stuff (harness, booties, shorty suit ...).
