Has anyone come up with a good way to carry a paddle upwind with duotone slicks or units? I feel like there is a crafty 3d printed solution, I just can't visualize it.
If you use the Duotone Slick, you can use a 3-piece paddle as a boom. Most paddle grips fit into the boom mount. You can then put the paddle blade in your backpack when winging, in which you can also pack the wing afterwards when doing the downwinder.
Probably almost any 3-piece SUP paddle will fit. All you have to do is check if the paddle grip fits into the boom mount on the slick. You connect the top part of the paddle to the middle part and adjust the length to the length of the boom (129 cm) and use it as a boom for the wing. The third part (i.e. the paddle blade) you put in the backpack. When you are far enough upwind, you deflate the wing and build the third piece of the paddle on it.
Something like this will work:

Wing made specific for upwind down wind paddle carry.
Got a brand that makes anything like that?
