I recently had the chance to test out the WHIZZ, the latest foil, in a official Duotone Test Day

It's an impressive combination, bringing together the best features of their lineup: it floats and glides a lot (Aero Glide style), it's great for surf as it turns great (Aero Carve style) -surpassing both the Aero Free and the Glide-and takes off as effortlessly as the Aero Free. It matches the top speed of the Free too and obviously, the Glide is faster.

I weigh 93 kg and was riding a 5.5m Unit. I tried both the 1200 and the 1000 models with their corresponding stabilizers. If possible, I would replace my current foils with just these two in a heartbeat! I was so impressed after the session that I immediately ordered the 1000 with its stabilizer. It reminds a lot the Axis SpeedFire in performance and program.

Yep, the front wing looks like and performs like the SpitFire (I wrote SpeedFire by mistake in the first post). The stab follows other modern shapes, like those from a 3D boutique shaper:

If you place the Whizz and Axis Spitfire on top of each other they are actually quite different. For example the Whizz is an anhedral foil while the spitfire has dihedral. The outline shapes are also quite different when you overlay them on each other.

I've seen them to look at and handle at a dealer / shop visit where I just happpened to turn up when the rep was showing them to the shop. Very interesting foil and nothing like any other foil I've looked at - I ride Axis and it certainly isn't anything like the spitfire in shape although from certain angles it does look like that.

Does anyone know the span and AR of the 1000 wing?
I'm very excited to try it out!

So, Spitfire has turned-down wingtips and Whizz has turned-up wingtips?

Whizz has full dihedral curvature not tips... very unusual shape.

So, wings slope down from the root to the tip, like the Flow 1000?

fixed my post... from the front it has upward sweeping curvature from root to tip... never noticed this on any other wing.

Gong has had that for over a year on some foils. Very carvey apparently although I haven't ridden one.

My impression is that it rolled easier for it's span which seemed substantial. I was not blown away by any aspect but really only had a couple of underpowered runs on it. My reference is the classic Kujira v1 1095

I'm confused, when in water is the Whizz Dihedral or anhedral?

It is slightly dihedral, so it's quite flat. Here's what Duotone shared so far

PERFORMANCE FEATURES
+ Surprisingly loose in roll for its AR
+ Great pumping ability - efficient to make it back out into the lineup
+ Easy and intuitive in turning behaviour

TECHNICAL DETAILS
+ Innovative dihedral for intuitive rail to rail turns
+ Zero sweep design for highest efficiency
+ Pumping optimized profile with very low stall speed
+ Light and strong carbon layup for a great mix of weight, stiffness and strength
+ Compatible with Duotone Aero AL, AL 3BS and Fanatic Carbon & AL fuselages

Front view, facing ike when in the water:
