I am an intermediate wingfoiler from Norway, usually winging in the waves of the North Sea- using a 57 l board. I am going 3 months to Gold Coast for work (jan-march), and wonder if any of you have advice; is it worth bringing my equipment? And where are the best places to go wingfoiling? Will be living at Burleigh Heads.. Appreciate any help you can give me!

Heaps of great spots on the Goldy so definitely bring your gear, here is a bit of info I wrote quite a while ago but all still relevant today.

Thanks- will definitily bring it. Your overview is great. Just wondered about wave spots as well? Are they just full of surfers, or places for wing foilers as well?

Currumbin Alley is unreal for wave riding in a SE wind but really the whole coast is full of waves that work in most winds we get and plenty of places to get away from surfers, just stay out of the flags.
Here is the Currumbin cam where you will see wingers up pretty much anytime there is wind. www.surfline.com/surf-report/currumbin-alley/5842041f4e65fad6a7708c2e
