I just set my Apple Watch to Run in activities them up load to Relieve . The other App we use is Dawn Patrol which is really good you can run both apps at once but tears up the battery in under 2 hours . This first link is for my 20km Wingding DW

Never thought of running two apps at once. Solved my issue sweet thanks Piros. Dawn Patrol and Strava on Apple Watch 5. Battery life was not to bad. Strava threw an error but still worked. Two views of a sneaky after work foil:

I am jealous of that Dawn Patrol app, but too cheap to invest in Apple world. Instead I got a Huawei smartwatch (under $100), which shows GPS tracks, but not ride lengths and speeds. I decided to upgrade, so got a used Garmin Vivoactive3 ($150), but found the surfing app just isn't all that great. So, in the end, I guess I could have taken the combined cheap-out value and just bought the Apple eh? Story of my life, you'd think I'd know better after a half century of this.

Dunno! Some googling finds that Android has 87% of the smartphone market share, so it seems like it would be a pretty good profit opportunity for them ... I am guessing they have an exclusive license with Apple. Apple has a 55% market share in smart watches. Every smart watch maker seems to have their own proprietary apps. So if you buy a lame smart watch, expect lame apps. ;-)
