David Rose asked me to add these details:
Next Easter Perpetual Trophy - Lake Gilles
Date for this event March 21st - 24th
Pilots and families interested in participating in this event, please inform the Adelaide Land Yacht Club, via email to budrose@picknowl.com.au
This also applies to Blokarts in all states which are very welcome, however please note, they will have to abide by A.L.S.A rules.
WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO GET THERE,IT REALLY DOES SOUND LIKE THE PLACE TO GO.AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO MEET ALL YOU GUYS!
GILLIES A GEREAT EVENT ,ONE THAT IS A MUST IF YOUR KEEN ON LAND YACHTING, AND WE SHOULD ALL SUPORT THE ALYC . and time is marching on it is not that far away
Well it was wild at Pt Gawler today. 18-25kph winds.
Lesson learnt today... I need a 4m storm sail. Took David's Fed 5 with a 4m sail for a spin and was plesently surprised to find you can round the windward mark on all 3 wheels
An experience landyachter took mine for a spin and said he was very impressed with it. That made my day!
There was talk of possibly going out again next Sunday, if we can all get leave passes from the fun police.
another oops. On behalf a Kalgoorlie Blokarter with no internet access and unofficially on behalf of the Blokarter in other states could the ALSA sailing rules and current class specs please be posted here so that visiting pilots can be aware of any differences in the rules that they sail by. most of those intending to make the journey are regular readers /posters on this site
