no offence (im not saying you're dodgy) but the IKO instructors is rediculously easy to get in Perth, my brother had it after only doing about 3 hours on a kite all up...
(but then again it is a rediculously easy poser sport )
i am guessig this guy is a poley :)
hahahahaha
i am the "brother" that stevo mentions. He is just recounting my story. For someone with previous years of teaching experience (Sailing and Windsurfing), getting the IKO Instructors Course is very very easy. Like all the examiners say "you don't get it just for turning up", it is true.
And yes, he is a poley (so am I, i will never convert, NEVER!! ) and yes i tease him about his Balius too, i have Cibby 250, more street cred haha.
And don't lie all you kitesurfers out there, it is a ridiculously easy poser sport, we all know it, he wasnt teasing it, he was just stating a fact.
ok thought i shoudl crarify here psb stands for perth street bikes its a nother forum www.perthstreetbikes.com for motorbike riders i was offering some gear + lessons for money of a new bike and it just started with a couple of tools that have no idea what they are talking about bagging kitesurfing and bagging IKO.
im surprised to see a negative response on here about iko though. with out them what means of regulation woudl you expect of instructors.. any one that just feels like teaching should be able to start?? IKO darren and choicey taught me some valuable tools to get begginers up and riding safetly and i wouldnt reccomend that anyone get lessons from an instructor that isnt qualified. IM personally grateful for iko
bil·ious
Pronunciation:
bal-yus
1 a: of or relating to bile b: marked by or suffering from liver dysfunction and especially excessive secretion of bile c: appearing as if affected by a bilious disorder
2: of or indicative of a peevish ill-natured disposition
3: sickeningly unpleasant <with clapboards painted red and bilious yellow — Sinclair Lewis>
/seems to cover both the poster (2) and the bike (3)
So, let me get this straight,
You have come to anonymously whinge on this forum that another anonymous person on another (totally unrelated to kitesurfing) forum is dissin your sport?
HTFU princess!
Also, could we have some punctuation in the header?
(GreenPat, where are you???)
I am here, watching carefully for any rule breaking. Part of the deal for being a moderator was to make no more comments about spelling and punctuation though, so I have to leave that header and not say anything about it. Don't worry though, I'm still a big fan of correctly written English, I just have to keep it to myself now.
Ahah nice one man...
yep that was me... although you conveniently left out the face that was there after the last comment....
you also happened to ignore the fact you jumped straight onto PSB starting about 4 threads going....
-Which bike is better?
-What should I get?
-Will swap one night with my girlfriend for a 250cc bike (yes im serious...he actually made a thread about that)
-Will swap kitesurfing gear and cash for bike
chill out dude, it was a simple bait...Im actually considering learning to kitesurf myself... certainly dont have any hatred of kiters
although I stand by what I said about IKO...but no one really cares about that comment... thats just my experience/opinion of the situation...
and to those that bitch about my bike, the balius: Its WA, we have to have a 250cc bike for a year before we can get a big bike... and im guessing you dont ride or havent ridden recently... considering its one of the fastest street legal 4 stroke 250's i have no problems with it..
no road 250 has any cred? ahah suzuki RGV and all the other 250 ning nings dominate
anyway h20fly...chill out, best of luck with the bike...ride safe
i ride a grandpa bike; a triumph bonneville. i've really got nothing against 250s, just returning the bait
chill out
It would appear its a small world how many cross forum users there are.
Just make sure you keep your same "internet poser" profile constant, I had to sign up to read that thread in full and you say your a choice instructor but choice is not IKO where as in this thread you claim Choice is IKO.
edit: LOL it appears you got ousted on rereading [valuing a second hand kite at $2400] and btw that's a fairly impressive forum, bloody massive in fact.
Triumph Street Triple is where its at....
or the daytona 675
And yes PSB is an awesome community, group rides that cater for anyone and everyone and a lot of fun trackdays and the like...
PS - look out for bikes on the road...please dont run me over
yah the Triumph,s are sweet bikes but you cant go past the Ducati,s
#
theyre the ferraris/v8,s of the motorbike world...
but i also have a love affair with the R1,s especially the black on black....
#

BTW steveo the Triumph tripple is very sexy love the pipes out the front, love the nakeds too... for me its the monster
i know someone whos got that r1 all black, fricken cool bike.
p.s. does the sickest burnouts standstill in other ppl's garages hahahahahaha.
so drooling. black r1 .. so hot.. its surprising how many kiters are bikers as well. ... we never were a group for lawn bowls were we.. sorry if there are those that play :)
like to see anything beat the almighty MTT Turbine Superbike Y2K, driven by a Rolls Royce 320HP Allison Turboshaft, Single Spool, Axial Flow Gas Turbine Engine.
WITH A TOP SPEED OF 365 KM/H not even an aftermarket Hyabusa can beat this...but then again who has $150K to fork out for a bike?
