Jarrad Batza takes on Teahupoo

Jarrad Batza in Tahiti
Teahupoo is known as one of the worlds best waves for barreled, and when Aussie surfer Jarrad Batza was there in December, he filmed some of the best we’ve ever seen of a stand up paddler. Actually, it's some of the best surfing footage on any board!

The water is clear, like, see for miles clear and the gorgeous mountains of Tahiti stand tall in the background. It’s glassy, absolutely calm and the waves are a fun 5ft or so, peeling left off the reef. What more could you ask for in a session? He’s got a JP Australia shortboard under his feet, a GoPro 4 on his Ke Nalu paddle and rock steady hands as he pulls into barrel after barrel.

Based down in Melbourne with The Zu boardsports, Jarrad Batza has been spending the summer trekking all over the world in search of waves. This week he’s in QLD, sampling the great summer swell we’re experiencing on the Sunshine Coast.

It’s probably not this good though! Check out the footage of Jarrad Batza scoring some sick barrels in Teahupoo, Tahiti.
