Powder Hawaii - Stand Up Snow Paddling
Stand Up Snow Paddling, is something that rears its head this time of year when some bored stand up paddler decided to trapse up the slopes with a 9ft plus board on their head, and a paddle in their hands. This is probably the best example of stand up paddling in the snow that we’ve seen though, because it’s an awesome day, with thick powder and an athlete that really knows how to throw around a SUP. She’s on a Naish Hokua 7'8", and at some points really gets the rail in hard and draws some lines.
In the past few months Notar has been publishing some amazing pictures of her getting out on the water amongst some staggering scenery. The pictures of her stand up paddling with huge snow capped mountains in the background, and frozen trees on the waters edge are on her social media pages if you'd like to check them out.
If you’re feeling a little warm, this video will certainly cool you down! And remember, there’s no bounds to this sport, if you’re bored one day, grab your board and try something new!
