They say it’s the next big thing, the future of the sport of stand up paddleboarding. Read carefully now, the development of ‘stand up puddleboarding’ is gaining momentum with a strong following on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Taking their boards to any body of water they can find, these guys hit the carparks, their fishponds and the drains on the side of the road to get their fix of stand up puddleboarding. Using everything from pieces of plywood to old surfboards, and even some foamy stand up paddleboards, these guys are frothing on their new found pastime.

Will it catch on in a town near you? A puddle at your local? Will your kids grow up, living for the sport of stand up puddleboarding?
