Quad bikes are fun and worth a risk. Eventually no more possible to chance for the crash then during windsurfing for serious catapult on turtles or crab pot line.

Kinda more serious consequences though. Not just death but serious vertebral injuries with life-changing effect.. The figures from safeworkaustralia are horrifying on quad bikes ion farms.
Be careful on those things Peter.

Isn't farming the area where lots of people get injured in really bad ways from machinery? Quad bike rollovers, post hole diggers?

I think it would be a good idea to stick to something already on the market, just so that you don't injure yourself.

You are absolutely right. I am almost guaranteed to hurt myself at any attempt to fix old barbed wire fence. But this is nature of farming, now unless you want to spend a lot of money to replace old technology ( barbed wire ) with new high tensile wire style. Quad bikes are fun and worth a risk. Eventually no more possible to chance for the crash then during windsurfing for serious catapult on turtles or crab pot line.

but weekend on the farm could be fun too

I agree with WazzaYotty. You hear about accidents with these things and they aren't good. I guess you don't hear about all the times people don't have a problem though, but I thought at one stage they were going to mandate them to have roll cages.

The accidents with post hole diggers is terrifying as well.

FFS hobby farmers trying to do it on the cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a digger (excavator) in and clear the lot up in a few days, nice fire piles ready to burn then spray the shoots that come up.

Much cheaper than all the nonsense being written here, owning machines is expensive especially cheap sh!t, trying to reinvent the wheel is even more expensive!

Suck it up mate

Plus 1 kk .
With The time saved it pays for itself plus if an accident occurred struggling with inappropriate equipment the cost of that far outweighs any savings that could in theory be had.
