This is something that always amuses me.
Complaining to the mods reeks of a childish reaction.
It's essentially someone looking for a mummy and daddy figure to 'make the bad people stop saying things that I don't agree with!'.
If you can't deal with a comment someone has posted and feel the need to invoke the forum parents to delete it, I would suggest you're not ready for the adult world and should probably go find youself a nice colouring book.
I don't know that we have ever removed posts / locked threads just because someone disagrees with a point of view.
The moderators are here to make sure we have a safe and positive environment in the forums. Anything that doesn't fit in the forum rules "see: www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Help/ForumRules.aspx) should be reported.
There forums are up there with the most civil I have seen, and also one of the least moderated as well.
With your help we can keep it that way... 
Recent example-
My original post in the 'shame' thread.
A thread was started, comments were invited, I made a relevant general comment that was not directed specifically at anyone, next I looked it was deleted.
I was also about to complain to "Mods" for posting for the three weeks in a row the same and the same
weather forecast 
But things are going to change soon, all sins forgiven
What amuses me is there's no reason given. Surrounded by similar content, one post gets deleted and the user banned... why? Because some one moaned about it? If we're expected to police ourselves, as rule-breaking posts aren't deleted until someone whines, then why go full-retard and ban? Puzzling...

the reason this site has been able to drift away from the responsibility that comes with a registered site is because its extremely unpopular
if not, then print out some of the offensive posts that dont get moderated and sent them off to more populist positions
and see what happens
print out the posts that have celebrated animal cruelty and sent them off to the rspca
sent off the threads that are unbelievable racist towards other groups of people eg aboriginals , sent them off to the abroginal community

First of all, it is an open forum. When you post an opinion here, you are talking to the entire SeaBreeze mob, if not the entire world. So why is it that you believe you can freely post anything you care to dish out, and not expecting others to respond, sometimes negatively?
How is it that you come to the conclusion that people who disagreed with you are merely "a bunch of conservative bogans" ?
You can express your opinions, even though they may not make much sense. However, it is not at your liberty to insult and pass judgement on others. You see, Craze, as soon as you begin to insult others, you lose your argument.

Bollocks. Nobody is ever banned just because someone moaned about them. Bans are only ever enacted after serious and repeated breaches of the rules, and when we have determined that the person in question is unwilling to abide by the rules. Yes it's subjective, us mods are only human, but we try to be as fair as we possibly can. To the point where my wife gets pissed at me for always looking for both sides of the story and trying to imagine why someone who has done something she doesn't like might not be a bad person and might have some other reason to have done whatever pissed her off.
Like plenty of people have suggested in earlier incarnations of this topic, if you don't like the way things are run, you're quite welcome to not take part.
I've had posts removed I've never got explanation .
just figured what i said was inappropriate but sometimes I feel it hardly compares with what I was responding to.
That said I've had some abuse that was removed & I was told why & then I asked for the thread to be removed.
So it's sort of worked for me.
its there forum that's the way it rolls.
I've never complained to a mod about anyone else.
I don't need other people to fight my battles .
