If you quote someone else's post and there is an emoticon at the end of the post, it seems to leave off the last /quote text.

Indeed it did .. all fixed .. thanks.

Do you have to set the editor to plain text each time, or is it set with a cookie or something? I open tabs all over the place with different topics, so I can't tell at this stage.

It's as you suggest - stored in a cookie.

I have found that using the plain text editor doesn't seem to handle carriage returns properly.

All fixed .. thanks.

Great .. I'm guess the capitalisation, I'm guessing it is from your phones browser trying to be clever..? (not something I'm doing?) Anybody else got same?

Do you prefer the new "fit more in" layout of the forum posts on your mobile? (i.e. no more avatars, text across full width)

One problem with the new editor is that your include a URL at the end of a sentence and immediately follow it with a full stop (period), it incorrectly appends the full stop to the URL.

This does not work: http://www.nobletech.com/maps/chartplotter.html.

This works: www.nobletech.com/maps/chartplotter.html

Yes, unfortunately, only you can fix this by not putting the '.' on the end.

As Urls go, a '.' is a valid character to include (there are 3 already in your url, so why not include the last one? ).

I agree, yes, it's incorrectly including it from a grammer point of view and correctly including it from a url point of view. Although it seems straight forward to leave the '.' off the end, it can get quite complicated so at this point, probably best to leave the dot off the end - sorry.

Yeah, loads nice and quick Laurie, like the new version.

The caps thing is weird, I'll see if I can get to happen on any other site.

Do you set a limit on the text div width? 17/18 characters is pretty small.

Great job!

I like the format on the mobile. Heaps better, and much more text on a page. If you use a Vodafone sim, data can be slow, so anything to improve that can only be a great thing!

I'm using a galaxy S2 and it seems to work fine. Even the plain text editor works well. Thanks for fixing things up so quickly!

Laurie, I noticed when I added pics to a response, there was a message to safari users that multiples might not work.

It worked on mine. Safari 6.0.4, and OSX 10.8.3.

Nice work! Cheers

New setup is working great. Still cannot do pics though. And words still go below the key pad. So working great should not be there

Heap more work into this for you guys:

Should be much improved on your mobile ... especially for Samsung Galaxy S3, when entering a post. Android has issues there, but found a way to restrict the zoom so it doesn't jump around/zoom in so much.

Also improved for iPhone .. the 'double screen' issue (when in landscape) all fixed .. display is now elastic and fills out when in landscape.

Editing a post now works as it did before, and should return you directly to your post.

Added a 'cancel' button for if you change your mind about posting. (who ever does that? )

And a heap of other little tweaks - thanks to you all for the comprehensive feedback.

Umm me

New bug caused by the cancel button though - if you start a quoted reply, cancel it, then start another quoted reply the original quote is still in the message text box.

Blame some galah for that one!

All depends on your perspective .. it could also be classed as a feature .. if you cancelled by accident/change your mind again, your previous text is still there.

Its not good, its like a murdoc broard sheet at 100% i have to take a hike west to read a post

so have cut down to 75% which makes it hard to read, its a bit like a shuttle back and forth, once upon

a times there was this thing that automaticaly adjusted the screen. Seems to be not working?

I am on desktop with m/s windows 90pro execitive. My man tells me i have enough bang and stop to do most anything

except high downloading games and movies, which i dont do anyway.

Sea breeze has always been my most interesting site, it still is, even with the gremlins loose

My screen is 1/2 a mtr across and it would seem i need one a full meter to operate? [winger arnt I ?]

Befor the changes [tinkerring] all was Ok in fact it were really good. Tabloid is the way forward. to be sure , to be sure

Not a whine at all. I can see all that I type now, yet cannot expand it. Pics are a pain in the arse for the same reason. Small glitches yes, but to fix them would make the breeze a lot better. The old system was heaps better even without being able to post pics. I hardly use my pute now that I'm young and hip with the new school haha. The emoticons are to small and don't expand either. Now thatsa

Tried posting with the rich text editor and the post didn't show if I wasn't logged on - unless I hit the refresh screen button.

Sorry Laurie I'm with chrispy, I can't post images in plain or rich and my plain text is not "back where" I was.

Just discovered I can post an image if I type in then type in full URL

No preview amongst other things........

Honestly mate I don't know why we changed, I had no problems previously, maybe I'm just missing something.

Oh and last time I looked my Tosh was a real computer.

I like how an image can be directly uploaded into a post and it automatically goes into your gallery.

Still can't figure out how to put an image from the gallery into a post..........anyone???

Shall look into the image thing; as before, any images that don't end in jpg, png, or gif will need the tags, as there is no way for the text system to detect them as images .. an oversight, so will add a help bit for this.
