Sorry, but when did I ever offer a word of opposition? I was supporting it and making positive suggestions Darth. Feels like you didn't read my responses. I never opposed the plan. I made some criticisms of it. That doesn't translate to opposition. I'm offering suggestions for improvement. It looks like a typical developer driven project. That doesn't go down well in 2017 when one is dealing with a site with history.
I also don't know why it matters what state a person is in. The issues or laws are not that different anywhere in Australia.
Please apologise.
The history of the site. It was an open, unrestricted rubbish tip up until the mid 60's. I remember going there as a kid.
Just across the small bay, where Troy Park is, was the same and open until much later.
Adriano not only does this not affect your life you are making unrealistic and standard troll comments.
Victoria cant even power houses and old mate elon musk is coming in to south oz to make sure the state next to it can suck power from a fiant battery.
Victoria also gets a large portion of fst from west oz to keep it going.
We want a bloody wave park where we wont be ripped apart by sharks, where disabled people who ised to surf can go safely, where kids can learn, where people in their 70s and 80s can get a bit of stoke........
Its a full good community project their are no real negatives, yeah sure wind power or solar power would be nice but when they are building cement plants in vicco and nsw is shipping coal and polluting towns and sucking power I think your argument is not only null and void but it highlights the larconic attitude unless negative that you apply to everything going on not only in your area but likely worldwide.
Also as a windsurfer trolling for an argument with ridiculous arguments not once did you reply on how your cinemas are powered or local shop or heavy industry or housing etc etc etc.
I could go on for pages however I will leave the real statement to this.
The people opposing thos are the same who opposed roe 8 they are members of a bowls club which not only has no solar power but pays a lease of around 1000 bucks a year for a club which has less than 300 members all of which residing in 1-1.5 PLUS MILLION DOLLAR HOUSES............
I'm all for the surf park, provided they're self funded and keep the chemicals out of the river.
You seem a little sore about any sort of opposition though Razz. Chill out man.
I think you'll find that with the promise of brand new state of the art facilities, the majority of bowling club fraternity are actually keen for this to go ahead.
You guys are missing the point. Adriano is spot on. If you want it to be welcomed as opposed to just build and attacked, it has to tick as many boxes as possible, and being as green as current technology allows will get votes for it to go ahead/stay open.
Maybe they can incorporate electricity generation from the wave action, sort of self perpetuating cyclic stuff. Is there a link somewhere to view details as well as pictures?
