I would rather jump in the water with 3 5m white pointers and a bleeding leg, than be in a room with 10 drunks.
I've swam with all the large sharks, and none have shown any aggression.
I have held a great white pectoral fin.. was described as a high 5.
These are what you all need to fear: www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Products/BBC4B00DFF0E942ACA2579C6000F6B15?opendocument

But not these:
This would have benefited from some strobes as I was ~25m down.
Hi i am the guy That has taken all those photo's
I appreciate all the comments and yes i also Have Great white Pics. I too am a lover of great whites..
They are superb Images, I love how you have captured them in there docile state. they are magnificent and such a joy to photograph..
Smokey stop these things being so "smiley and playful"
Anybody who believes a great white is "playful," is kidding themselves
Nice photos Flysurfer, but you are living dangerously.
Those stats you pointed to don't imply that swimming with sharks is safe. A moments thought will tell you that the normal person's exposure to those high mortality hazards is huge, hence the notable mortality rate. I doubt that you have any stats for the hazards of swimming with sharks normalized for man/hours of exposure time.
The way you write about it worries me a tad. You seem to think you understand Great Whites but there is no way that you could. I think the best way to regard dangerous wild creatures is with a good deal of circumspection. Even if you think you know you should act as if you don't.
We all remember Steve Irwin. He "knew what he was doing".
