no wind here so lots of photo time

the first spider is no bigger than a pin head










There are a few of these wingless mini pray mantis things in the garden at the moment. he is barely 1 cm long. i didn't know they came so small





not sure ?

these here are canon 5d2 or 7d

all but the last photo used the canon 100mm L macro

the last photo is the new canon 70-300 L, for which I replaced the 100-400 L with a few weeks ago

i don't edit the photos as such, apart from cropping at times. However; with almost everything i take with the dslr's in raw, I make anything that's close to being black, blacker, which brings out the contrast, detail and colour. - and yes most of the time i've messed with colours in some way. It's more my attempt to make it look like what was really seen with the naked eye, rather than trying to make it look surreal. i might have gone overboard in some shots

i think most folk would be shocked at how bland the shots are that come straight out of my camera - 30% photographic ability, 70% exposure/contrast/colour manipulation technique in post

Amazing shots Haircut - you've definitely got talent! Keep this thread going...I'm going to raid my photo archives to hopefully find some pics that are worthy. If not, might grab the wife's camera this weekend & spend some time fine tuning my shooting skills.
