You guys do realise that this forum is Social media dont you?
SEABREEZE GENERAL........old mans facebook/Twitter. lol

There has been more funny/stupid/strange/religous/homophobic/conspiracy comments on this forum than facebook/twitter/myspace all put together.

Oh the hypocrisy is amusing.

No this is where you write stuff and don't need 100 "friends" to feel validated.

Hey I just went to the toilet.

Edit: back now lol

Edit2: jsut saw the sky 2nite. Pretty

Edit3: aww now it si dark, not so pretty red sunset

Edit4: I like the new cookies from that shop,

(Think maybe by now u can see the difference? Give me a "like" so I feel all happy and fulfilled? Pleeease...?)

The irony is, all of your posts speaking out against 'social media' (nevermind the fact that you entrench yourself in it here), all of your professed wisdom, all of your piss takes and all the rest of the inane ****e you post here, is just as typical as anything you'd find on any other social media.

Face it mate, the internet and social media is filled with everyone you'd meet on the street, filled with all the diversity you'd find in 'real life'.
So for you to constantly harp on and focus about one single aspect that you don't like and hence tar the whole of 'social media' with the same brush (except the social media you choose to participate in, cause you are awesome and wiser that everyone else), shows how small minded you really are.

Knock, knock, is anybody there... Hellooooooo, anybody there? Social media is what you make of it, just try not to take it too seriously. Seabreeze is great and I'm having fun with it, and have learned a few things from various sections.
Facebook is interesting and network with some work mates and family, 43 in all. Only hints I have for that is; (a) don't friend your parental units as a younger sister did, and get updates and dating advice from Mum 20 times a day, with cat, bird and dog pictures and dating advice from Dad; (b) never post any personal pictures or information that you do not want to come back and haunt you, as a former colleague did when he posted a lovely picture of himself and young female companion sharing a lounger at a hotel. His missus was less than impressed, as was our employer as it was his sister-in-law...
Thanks for lamebook Mark, managed to lose half an hour paging through it!

Wow I must have pushed your buttons at some stage. Sorry
Back on track and ignoring making it personal...

I don't see the parallel with social media? This is a place where we come because we love our chosen sport/s so much that if we can't be on the water we wanna talk about it. We want new recruits too, so we come here to encourage them and hopefully build our sport/s up.
That is a far cry from putting your whole life online.

Here is just about our sport and while we are here we talk a bit of crap and make some jokes too.

Sorry M_a but I think you may be in denial :

Social media

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks

And in this case Wikipedia must be the authority given that it is, itself, a child of the social media generation.

I am off to make a ham and pickle sandwich now. lol.

Wow, that's a bit of a mean spirited post. Crikey, he's just expressing his opinion - don't need to get personal. Easier to just red thumb him.
