1,2 and 3 (that we later found out were 4,5 and 6 when they needed to make more money) were really good.

Since then it has been too try hard, too much CGI for its own sake, introducing more characters like it is an "Invent As Many Aliens As You Can" contest. Bit like how Matrix was awesome due to the concept, but then by the time #3 came it was a nonsensical mess.
So I don't hold much hope for the new movie.

Will watch it out of curiosity after the hype finishes (so for $5, not $50 at cinema) it but not gonna froth over it.

Took boys last night .
I enjoyed it
Kids loved it .
But the trailer for superman verses batman looked awesome.
But I couldn't believe it was $24 for an adult and $21 for a kids ticket

What gets me is kids ticket only $3 cheaper.
In all honesty its a kids movie. The only reason adults are into it is because we got the first ones as kids .
Look at the peanuts movie coming out $13 all tickets .

This kid thing gets to me..... Why should they pay less? They use one seat, are noisy, eat lollies and chuk the paper on the floor as much as the adults?
I would say yes give discounts for famillies like 2 adult 1 or 2 kids.

Sorry about the self promotion. I am an arms dealer who specialise in out-of-this-world weaponry. The Star War movie fits perfectly in my kind of territory as it is bloody "out there"

Lets face it, when you have those gravity-defying flying objects zipping around the universe, with no trails of fumes behind, you know the Star War folks have the latest and the best technology under control. Yet, the weapons they used in hand-to-hand combats in Star War are stone -age stuff. A light sabre which is nothing but a souped up fluorescent light tube, is a disgrace.

As a space-age arms dealer, I have a shed-load of weapons I can offload to any future Star War cash machine. My weapons can turn your enemies into dust. They are called "Atomizer Mk III". So no need to get too close to your enemies for the risk of having your arms chopped off. My Atomizer can vaporize someone before you even see them over the horizon. So it is safe for you, but not to your enemies

The first 100 callers will get a set of steak knives thrown in for free. But hurry...Offers are limited. For a very affordable price of $19.99 over 5 payments plus $9.99 P&H, it is all yours.

Please note that they are not available in stores. So phone now. Our operators are waiting...

LMAO We just borrowed the full set of videos from the brother-in-law (it's always a brother-in-law). Those light sabres are the dumbest weapons ever. Just line the bad guy up with a shotgun and let him have it. Every second scene is some dude dropping his light sabre (Doh!) or getting his arm chopped off.

Top tip for Telstra customers on a plan. $12.5 movie tickets. Good deal! (Was even better when they did it for $10!!)

I think they should have cgi princess Lea.
Her acting was like a fat statue .
But with less moves.

Im glad somebody started this thread so i can get a rant off my chest.
loved the movie right till the end.
However, if your going to have a secret hidden rebel base , FFs dont have all your camouflaged hidden aircraft hangers surrounded by bright yellow handrails. it had more yellow handrails on the HIDDEN CAMOUFLAGED outside than Barrow f'n island.
Ive spent days imagining the conversation with the buildrs when they built the secret hidden base.
Rebel Leader;" why does the secret hidden rebel base have yellow handrails?"
rebel construction worker;" Interplanetary worksafe law101-35-FFS-24 clearly states.........................................

Heck, I can't understand why with all of the faster than speed of light aircraft, lazer weapons, high energy cannons etc, that anyone would be living in tents lit by torches, have no roads, and fight with medieval weapons with a 1 meter range.

Because the whole series is a ripoff of Errol Flynn movies. The sword fights. The campy uniforms. The good guys and bad guys and fair maidens. The evil overlords. Not to mention all the cloaks and boots and guys setting up complicated boobie traps swinging stuff from trees. It's Robin Hood in Space!
